    Cat chip still beeps

I have an '06 GPR 1300. Installed D-plate and efi a week ago and rode it for about 15 minutes before the warning light and beeping went off. It shows an engine picture on the display. So I bought the cat temp sensor chip and tried it this weekend and it still beeps.

I can stop and turn the engine off and restart and it will not beep for awhile. Seems to do it more so when your just leaving the dock or sand bar after being parked.

Any ideas? Is there a different size resistor I can install to make it stop?

The cat temp sensor is the one closest to the cat right? Could my problem be the other sensor located toward the water box? Its still hooked up.

Its the MIL or "check engine light". The computer has stored a code. With the engine running, press the button left/lower on the cluster. Hold it for 8 seconds and it should flash an error code. Go to the back of your manual and look up the code or post it here.

hello ronn, When the engine light comes on. Push the display button Until a code number is shown. Let me know what code it is and i will tell you what it's for.

I installed riva heads today and forgot to tighten a hose clamp from rear head to pipe and filled the hull with water before I noticed. Maybe this also has something to do with it?
