Do you get the VTS display on the instrument cluster? If not, and the battery was recently disconnected, a dealer is going to need to enable it with BUDS... Ron

May want to check the fuses and wire connections from the VTS (should be 2 plugs).

does that mean it has to be reset everytime I disconnect the battery...
Check the fuses at the front of the ski.all good.which fuse is the VTS fuse???. unplug the cables and reconnected. still no VTS...

vts box in the back used to be problematic on pre 4tec sea doos.
little limit switches got stuck and it wouldnt move anymore.
all the electronics are under the potting material, and impossible to repair.
water probably got inside box via thru hull vts boot, or down inside by the wire thru the potting material, either way its fried.
in the future, check the vts boot frequently, pull the vts cover and check for moisture, and dont park your ski with vts ALL the way up/ALL the way down.
pinned up or down for a long time, the limit switches can get stuck that way,
and your vts will only work one way!
swap a diff box in and try it.
OR remove cover, remove motor, manually turn the worm gear to center the vts...
reassemble and try it. if it only goes one way, then you know its a stuck limit switch.
try banging on the potting material with a hammer. seriously! harder than tapping, but not so hard your gonna smash it
sometimes banging can unstick a switch.
but it will probably stick again soon, or if you pin the vts all the way again!!
this was all common on older vts units.
i guess the 4tecs are gettin old enough for vts issues too
