Firefighter Sentenced for Death

A Martin County firefighter charged in the death of a colleague will spend two years behind bars.

36-year-old Walter Rothe was charged with manslaughter and boating under the influence a deadly accident on the intracoastal back in 2005.

Police say Rothe accidentally slammed into Martin County Fire-Rescue Chief, Chip O'Hara's, jet ski, killing him.

Now, Rothe will spend two years in prison and three years on probation.
