need help with a kawi prairie
Does anyone have the procedure to reset the belt warning light on a 2003 prairie 650? I changed the belt about 20 hrs ago, but forgot the how I got it to reset. Tried the procedure in the 2004 manual and it won't turn off. It came on because it flipped another 100 hrs. belt has around 20 on it.
What I have tried:
unplug warning switch
swap black and grey connectors
turn key on
turn key off
put all wining back together
turn key on and the light is still on.

i dont know anything about what u have but with most things that have lights that stay on, i usually try unplugging the battery for 5-10 mins so it resets the computer, just remember how long the belt really has on it.

WOW, i missed this one.
Bobossd, thanks for the tips, but that doesn't do it. turns out that the manual forgets 1 small but important detail. you have to wait for the light to flash slowly. . . so basically I killed 2 hours trying to figure this out when all i had to do was wait another 10 seconds
and as for you mr jeff, don't you have a ski to sell?????
