ok, so what is the deal with the Riva trim tabs. what kind of performance gains can you expect with them over the stock tabs. is it worth the $150?

not much difference other than the riva tabs prevent "flex" since the stockers these days are plastic.
Plus with the Riva tabs, you can have Jim polish them.

... and the Riva tabs are on different angles to the stockers - IMO the Riva tabs are better suited to the angles of the hull.
These days I just about always use aftermarket tabs on my skis.

The angles are the same forward to aft but different from the inside to the outside. The Riva tabs are also thicker. Set them on a bench and compare. You can put washers under the stock tabs to make them equal height and angle with the Riva tabs. They will be shorter though.
