    pv to non pv motor

    What changes do I have to do to put a non PV motor in a 2003 EFI GPR ?

    The ECU might need to be changed out,im not sure.I have not tried it out to see.

    the 05+ CDI and part of the pipe, you can probably run it without these things, but the timing will be off, and the pipe is a little smaller on the 03-04, so that might be an issue as well

    Anybody know the timing differences between the two ecu's on the pv vs. non-pv motors?

    i would not worry about the exhaust and ecu i would just drop it in and see how she runs,
    i have done extensive testing with the pv exhaust on a 05 motor,i swapped out 00, 03, then 05 full system with a rpm gain so small i could not record it,true it was not back to back but i live in the uk and its alway dull and cold so no heat come into it.....
    i also run a advent ecu on my jump boat (carbed 05 1300 non pv) and the same unit is run on all pv and non pv aplications with no re flash on the unit,but that was from a 1200 ignition due to carbs..
    suck it and see and worse case you gotta post Wtb for parts needed after build...

    3 degrees + uptop on the Non-PV ECU

    I'm pretty sure the non pv ski's have a more restrictive waterbox....Might be some rpm gain checkin on that.
