    EFI #4 question

    i was reading some older posts today and noticed some1 said that the EFI settings are like 3-4k off from what they actually do. Does this mean i need to run my #4 pot at like 10 to get it to come on at 7? I have my other pots where i like them. Am i supposed to read when the light goes OFF on the #3 pot to see when the #4 pot goes ON. (Im assuming when the #3 goes off the #4 comes on since there is no light for the 4) I have had my #4 at 6 for quite some time and i like the top end, but it seems like around 45 or 50 mph my ski either cruises or kicks in and wants to rip my arms off. Theres a fine line of pop there

    You adjust #4 (crossover) when the red light (next to #3) comes on. My boat does the same thing. Open #4 a little more to get out of that surge spot.

    so when the red light comes on the 3, check the rpms and set the #4 to that rpm? If mines at 6 now, is a "little" like 7 or is a little like 8?

    The variations in these controllers is huge. My #7, supposed to represent 7000 rpms, actually is 5500 rpms. Rule of thumb is to adjust the crossover (red light) to come in around 5500 rpms, no matter what the dial # is. So watch the tach to see at what rpm the red light comes on. You adjust this with #4 pot, higher or lower.
