Performance REEDS on a budget ?

For allot of us the VF3's/ M16 /Ruis redds are just too expensive.

So ive been wondering, is there anything one can do besides keeping them stock ?

Run the late model 1300 reeds with a stuffer and spacer.

It is the OEM reed valve that has the updated "reed stop" that you want to use. It was the reed stop that Yamaha updated, I think this update was done in 2002.

Here's a pic of the 1200 and 1300 reeds side by side so you can see the difference between the two. I'm almost certain the newer reeds started in the 03' 1300 ski's. My 02' had the older style.

The problem I've heard with all the replacement CF petals is that they just don't last very long and really aren't all that "cost effective"...lol..

Your opinion is just on the pv motors correct?
I have had nothing but good long life and performance from My CF's in all my ski's but I do run spacers on each of them

Correct. And it's just my opinion... and you know what they say about opinions right??...
From what I understand it's the spacer that helps the reeds last as it keeps the ends of the reeds out of the boost ports.

YZ- 13's are on the top 12's are on the bottom. I have no idea on the 800 but I'd almost be willing to bet the 800's are just the two end reeds of the 12/13 motors...but I don't know first hand.
