Lightbulb FZR SHO Intake Tunnel Problems ? ? ?

    Hey Guys ,
    I asked this question 6 months ago (August 2008 ) , i think i've waited long enough .

I managed to sell my ski and im looking to buy a new FZR. but before i jumped on one i wanted to know if the FZR would have the same issue as the SHO's intake tunnel. (Bubbling and paint chiping off).
Has anyone noticed anything on them ? I havn't seen any posts on this problem so i might as well ask.

I've noticed in other post's on greenhulk , on certain SHO's after 5-6 hours on most ski's, the paint would either buble up or chip off. This has me worried.
Do you think it could be bad Nano cel / bad paint / or too much pressure running through the tunnel ???

i understand Yamaha recalled the Fly wheel on the SHO which was needed, and i can only assume Yamaha did the correct thing and hopefully fix the intake tunnel issue for the FZR . Thats if they would use the same paint/material ? Any one wanna help me out on this one ??? See attached pics.

I think this was a minor paint problem on a few ski's, personally I wouldn't worry about it.

32hrs on mine. Just went out to the garage to check, and my tunnel still looks brand new.

The FZR/FZS Yamaha pwc's are just now being released to the dealers in the last few weeks so its hard for some new owners to give you a answer. Time will tell but i supect yamaha has a handle on the early paint problems!

I'm wondering if that issue was specific to the first batch of SHO's. Mine was bought in July & now has 79hrs with no chips. I haven't heard any new posts of the problem since those who got the first ones reported it.
