    exhaust pipe question on gpr

can anybody tell me what the purpose of the pipe coming off the top of the stinger is thats located at the rear just before it bends down at the back of the engine.
the pipe is hard fixed on the exhaust and there is a rubber pipe coming off it that goes to the back off the ski.

It is a cooling hose that exits through the rear of the boat at the transom plate.

so this pipe is just a dump to sea pipe to get rid of some of the water out of the exhaust (cooling)?
