Advantages/Disadvantages to Riva Power Filter Tube

I am in the final stages of moving my air intake to the front storage area and was wondering if I should totally take out the Riva power tube or attach the Grainger tubing to the air filter section and start from there. I took a piece of plexi and made a match of the front storage compartment block off and have the air filter nicely installed. If I choose to run the 4 inch Grainger tubing from the supercharger, it looks like I will have to remove the power pipe and all of the intercooler plumbing to get that crazy Riva pipe out. Does that 3 inches versus 4 inches from that point make that much of a difference or should I suck it up and start removing the pipe and plumbing??

I still have a ton of the Grainger tubing if anyone is interested.

I'm curious what the difference between a 4" coorugated flex tube and a 4" pvc pipe would be. Would the smoother channel pull more flow.

I'm thinking of switching my straight part by the engine to pvc .... not sure if I want to waste my time on something that won't do anything.

    Krazy-K,

We'd be interested in purchasing your Riva intake depending on how complete the kit is.

I would bet that the corrugated tube would mess up the air flow considerably. A bilge pump will flow about 1/3 more water through a smooth hose VS a corrugated one.
