Suggestions on repitch
I am thinking I can get a better holeshot out of my new RXT-X pump shoe setup. Brett, dont harras me.... Holeshot is good but I am thinking because more water is entering the pump and it is set back 2 inches I could go up to a 15/21 or 15/22 with maybe the 81mm ring? I am running a 14/20.75 with 80mm ring 8160 max rpm, from about 2000 rpm it holeshots to right at 8000. Any suggestions? I dont want to kill top speed though.

so your running 76.7 mph now. 2 mph faster then previous runs, so that puts the theroy to rest that you can run fast top end numbers with the X setup.
I think you got the right idea. I like the 14/22 for overall preformance on holeshot, acceleration, and top end. Can be a bit on limiter in cool.
I ran a 15/23.5 this past weekend with good results.
My experience is the 14 leading edge has better holeshot over the 15 setups. I saw just a tade of prop spin out of the hole with my 15/23.5 this weekend.
IF you want bone chilling holeshot go to a 83 ring or better yet a 84 ring and it will be sick.
By the way Good Job and very impressive numbers on stock ECU couch!!!

Thanks!! Yep that was my bigest concern (losing top speed), I am not sure why all RXT-X are not running in upper 70's, it is possible. With a little knowledge and tweaking as you can see can be close to 80 with stock ECU.
Before I saw best holeshot and top speed with the 82mm ring. I went down to the 80 to lessen max RPM durring the winter (what winter we have in FL). So I was thinking if I can run 81mm ring in winter and maybe 83 in summer I should be good. Otherwise I will have to have 2 props pitched to run the 82 or 83mm ring which isnt a big deal.
A friend of mine yes Brett I am talking about you (subliminal message) made it make sence to me and suggested to try the 82 or 83 ring and see what it will do to holeshot. I would be on the limmiter but would at least let me see what holeshot would do. Then maybe go from there. In theory going to 82mm ring I will need to probably be at like 14/21.75 to be at 8100 rpm
