Did UPS just rip me off?

Just got back from mailing the MSX140 seat to JetTrim (Bitchin Stitchin). Grand total to ship: $75! I used Staples, we don't have a UPS store anymore.

    Zoiks! I figured $40. 32lb package, 50x22x10". $67 for the shipping, $8 for insurance....

I always use the USPS. They are normally cheaper than UPS and I have never had a problem.

    exactly...

from now on use GREYHOUND with large packages. They stick it in the storage space under the bus. It costs FAR less than ups on big stuff. I once shipped a complete car door for $100. Truck freight would have been.. god knows and UPS wouldnt take it.
Shrink wrap large stuff and bubblewrap the shit out of it- then go greyhound. No joke. The ONLY drawback is they have to pick it up at the nearest greyhound station. If the recipient lives in the middle of nowhere it wont work out.

Try being on the receiving end of a package that was shipped across a boarder via UPS. Their brokerage charges are outrageous. They would have probably tacked on $100 of fees for that seat if you sent it to Canada. There is a way around it, but it requires work on the receiver’s end.

USPS all the way! At least for cross boarder shipping. I might get charged the odd $5 to $10 in fees.

If u don't use a real ups store your asking for a rip off! I used post.net once and paid twice as much after I found out they up charged me from what UPS charges by almost 100 Percent I let em have it
ps UPS has a policy that they only insure against damage for stuff they pack! otherwise it's just loss

To ship to Canada or anywhere besides the US the USPS is the best
