    steps to resurrecting a gp

What would you suggest be done to a ski GP1200 or 1300 if it has not been started for 2 years. I would think I'd empty out the gas, rebuild the carbs and spray a bit of fogging oil into the cylinders and try to turn it over by hand a bit just to make sure nothing is binding. Do you feel there is anything else to do other than a fresh battery and crossed fingers?

    that sounds good to me
run a compression test and get those carbs fully rebuilt and run pre mix
drain the gas like u said and and should start

Don't forget to change filters "fuel" and I would also check for cracks in the pulse lines as when they sit...they sometimes will weather and crack. You can also put in some Marvel Mystery oil into the cylinders. I've seen countless engine builders use this as assembly lube.
