    would it be louder if i shortend the j pipe ????

    No. You'd have to change the waterbox design (internally or externally) or take water away (which isn't a great idea) in order to make it louder. You do mean just cutting off some of the tip, correct? I don't believe you can easily shorten the j-pipe any other way..

    None, really. The original model Gibson exhuast needs the pipe cut down to fit it.
