New rxt 255 ??????
Guys tell me what you think about the new rxt 255 (the big yellow monters with suspension ) i love the outside, but the price and the weight scare me away, is $17,999 and it weights 948 pounds, you guys think it has a future performance wise?

$17,999?!?! Where do you shop at? The new GTX-iS is only $16,499 and I've already seen dealers advertising lower. Now my dealer's website has the "Request a quote" marked on all 09 Seadoo's. That's new. Something tells me they'll be alot cheaper then the introduction price that seedoo listed them at. Otherwise they won't sell squat. Anyways, aside from it being the first model year of new technology, I think they rock. Not sure if I'd buy one but I like them and I think this technology is here to stay. Boattest.com sure liked them. Read this:

I got the numbers from here.
I know u can always get a good deal a lot cheaper then they advertice for, for example i got my 07 rxt for $12,000 with trailer and taxes included at Yamaha & Seadoo in north Miami 305-651-4999 they always got the best prices.
but what i am really interested on is the performance this ski will have being 948 pounds.

Maybe Jerry will chime in. He's rode them. They put an unlimited (no GPS limitations?) ecu in the RXT iS and it consistantly went over 70 during the intro and I believe this is in the sticky thread about the 09's. It's still fast. And doesn't it come with the new stepped hull? Drag reduction baby.

I rode the RXT iS at the world finals and was very happy with the performance, comfort, and features of the ski. I actually got lucky because on the day I rode it the wind was at least 30mph and there was a solid 2-3 foot chop on the lake.
I am picking 1 up for the wife as I think it will make a great family ski... also I will use it on races like the LB2Cat where the suspension will really help make the ride more comfortable.

Id pay the 17K or so for one..they look like a real fun family ride.
There are times when comfort is wanted.
As compared to what boats cost today, SeaDoos, loaded like these with features, are still pretty reasonable purchases.
Now, Im not trading the RXT-X just yet for one, but still....

I think for the money it should come with stereo, cell phone, a pink drink with an umbrella in it and a cute little island girl to rub coconut oil on me.
