It is the same method as an RXP. The only difference is the 08 and up and RXP-X's have the different waterbox design with no J pipe. That still needs to be disconnected and pushed back slightly.

    - remove intercooler pipes, exhaust pipe, and air intake hose
    - disconnect and slide waterbox back
    - remove 3 bolts (1 top - 2 bottom) of charger
    - slide out

Here is the how to for an RXP -

on my x I don't remove the midpipe or stinger pipe. just loosen the 4 1/2 inch clamp that is on mid pipe coupler to water box, and disconnect exhaust hose from waterbox. then just slide water box back about 2 inches. I have pics of this in my thread "tested new mods with results". this way is much easier then removing midpipe from exhaust manifold.

This is great news if this is the case. I've yet to remove my charger, or attempt to but
I'm considering a Riva rear exhaust for my RXP-X instead of the complete waterbox. I like the sound of them, being its not to loud. I was thinking if there was a performance gain to be found with going with an exhaust, removing the resonator might be where the majority of the benefits would be... not as much as in a new water box. Thoughts and opinions are appreciated.

I found this on youtube, I believe this is what it would sound like if in fact this is JUSt a Riva rear exhaust. Thanks again.

The riva water box will be a bit louder then your stock x box with thru hull pipe. I think performance difference between the two will be small but a few rpms. (I believe there has been some back to back comparisons)
The 08X water box setup is good as it sits IMO.
Its very easy to access sc with 08 setup as shown in pics.

You will have to relocate your intercooler to run the thru hull pipe.
