SHO missing airbox hose? Is this normal?

I took off the plastic engine "cap" on my 2008 SHO for the first time today and I noticed that there's a nipple on the air filter airbox that is not attached to a hose. Is this normal or did they forget to attach something at the factory?

Maybe it's there for the California model? Hah!

Thank you very much SHOBiz for answering this question and my other question about the fuel hose recall.

It won't be stock airbox for long, I'm in the process of ordering a some perf parts from Riva and R&D along with the parts to do the recall.

Never been to Lewisville or Lavon, mostly go to Cooper, Tawokani, and Hubbard.
