New C5-11 supercharger upgrade is now available

This is for the big boys
    http://www.4-tecperformance.com/inde...oducts_id=1062

R&D’s new C5 11 Blade Series Racing Monster Compressor Wheel Kit for Yamaha SHO/FZ/FZR engines is a new “ALL OUT” racing product. The C5 will deliver the highest horsepower upgrade available for the O.E.M. HKS Supercharger. The R&D C5-11 Monster Wheels modern low profile, high flow, 11 blade high-tech design incorporates larger inducer and exducer diameters. The larger inducer and exducer diameters will increase the CFM of air flow volume at all rpm’s. The C5-11 Monster Wheel Kit will deliver 15 solid pounds of boost pressure at 8300 rpm and 17 pounds of boost at 8500 rpm. The R&D C5-11 Monster Wheel Kit requires special machining operations to the supercharger housing that are performed at R&D (IN HOUSE) to your HKS supercharger. R&D will disassemble your supercharger completely, bore out and re-contour the housing to accept the larger C5-11 compressor wheel. R&D also welds an extension to the HKS outlet to allow a longer clamping area for double or T-bolt clamps to secure the outlet hose in place for the added boost pressures. R&D reassembles the supercharger with the C5 Monster Wheel and the new Billet Exducer Seal Plate Kit to high performance tolerances. The C5-11 Racing Monster Wheel Upgrade Kit will require an aftermarket E.C.U. such as an R&D/VI-PEC, MOTEC, AUTRONIC, HALTECH, ETC. Also required is a R&D High Performance Racing R5 Intercooler Kit (PT# 612-18003, along with some serious pump assembly and Impellor upgrades. The C5-11 requires high grade racing gasoline only. Boost rated 12/15/17 P.S.I. (12 @ 7800 and [email protected] and [email protected]). The new R&D C5-11 blade series compressor wheel offers the highest level of airflow and horsepower gains available for the 1.8 liter Yamaha engine utilizing the HKS supercharger housing. Aftermarket ignition systems and a C5-11 Monster properly tuned can achieve well over 350 Horsepower. With the R&D C5-11 Kit, who needs a turbocharger!

This supercharger modification upgrade is the one that pulled holeshots and won motos in expert modified at the 2008 World Finals, and was used at the 2008 Kings Cup in Thailand to beat out the Turbocharged Yamaha’s.

    • Aggressive throttle response, increased horsepower
    • Increased boost pressure ( 10 P.S.I. over stock @ 8300 rpm)
    • Increased airflow ( big pounds per minute gain)
    • 100 Plus horsepower increase gain
    • Precision balanced (turbo specs .012-.027 gram inches)
    • Aftermarket ignition required
    • Aftermarket intercooler required
    • Health club membership (GYM) strongly suggested
    • Racing fuel only
    • Ultra easy installation
    • Highest horsepower upgrade available using HKS housing

Well the SC is $1400, IC is probably over $1K, EMS is going to be $2K or more. YIKES!

Impressive but my goodness, to run it! Need more competition to get these prices to come down.
