how long will pump last? 951 blaster
how long should i expect th e stock pump to last with the 951 it will be pushing 150+ hp. Right now its just in stock for but will be adding pipe, carbs, head . almost forgot it has advent T4.
and when i do upgrade which one should i go with 144 or 140 , 12 or 6 vein? thanks for the help

It will be fine..the same pump is used to push almost 170hp with no problems.
You upgrade depending on what you want to do. The Skat pump is better in chop and better holeshot...the OEM pump is better for top-end speed.
The pump should be fine if it does'nt have alot of hours, it may need new bearings after years of use. It does'nt hurt to change them out, and it's in-expensive.

thanks ,if i get one later which would be better for rough water hookup 144 or 140?

I have a twin pipe, ported, tl, 48Novi's, GP800 blaster 1. I use a 142mm 12vein mag pump. I have a 927 in the works and am planing on using a 144mm 14vein mag. The 140mm pump will hook up better because the 144, if not just right will pump all the water out before being able to fill up again. If you run the 951 you will have to compensate the water entry to get enough water in because you'll be able to expell it faster than.
