    I modded an electric scooter!

I modded my daughter's scooter about 2 years ago, that netted her about 4mph on top-end.

Well, she was'nt satisfied so I decided to up the power..it already has the 24v 350 watt motor, so I put another 12v battery and ran all 3 batteries in series which pushes the voltage to 36v!

I got the 36v controller and rewired everything...did'nt take that long..the scooter flies! It is doing 22mph! Which is another 4mph gain...she is going faster than even the newest, baddest scooters, including the $1,200 go-ped electric..they say it does 23mph, but nope! It only gpsed at 21mph.

haha...amazing what a little modding can do. here's some pics of the new battery mount I made and the 12v 12 amp hour battery.

I put air in the tires and picked up .8mph!!

The specs say 85lbs.! They were sitting at about 35lbs....man o man. This is fun!

It's like doing a bunch of tricks for the scooter.

No not yet...it's the 500watt motor, that will be next. And going to go 48volts! We should get to 30mph with no problem.

I bought a Extreme scooter on Ebay last night for $31.57! The only problem is the batteries died...haha. It's an expensive electric scooter too.
