    x-charger and ecm upgrade

    ok here is my question i have a 07 rxp and was going to upgrade to the x-charger. is it possible to just change the ecu and injectors.

    i figure if it is possible i could get away just changing the ecu and injectors and it would be safe running the charger and external intercooler without having to add a rrfpr.

    Yes, a Riva ECU and 50# injectors will work. So will a few other combinations.

    But then you need a valve train upgrade of some sort depending on what RPMs you'll be running.

    I don't see why you don't just add the RRFPR for about $400 and save all the money you would've spent on injectors, ECM, and valve train upgrades..

    no what i was asking is will the X-ecu work in a 07

    Stock x ecu and x injectors may work on the 07 but the x ecu makes peak power at 8000rpms and in my opinion that would be a waste of money.

    No it will not work, apparently the X ECU & injectors run on 14 volts. The 215 works on 12 volts.

    No, it's only the fuel pump that is run at 14 volts on the X models.

    So will it (X-ECU) work with the 215?

    you can have your stock ecu reprogramed to do what you're asking. mrracing has mentioned a reprogram that he offers that sounds like something that will do what you want and uses the stock X injectors and has an 8400 rev limit so no valvetrain upgrade is necessary like with a Riva ecu. It's what I'm planning to do for the same changes that you're making. I have not confirmed with him that the reprogram will work on ski's other than 2008 X ski's yet though.

    Im pretty sure that there was something different about the X boats valve train that would allow it to run at 8400 with no mods. Cant remember which tread i saw it in tho. R88

    The Rotax Racing Stock class ECU also has an 8400 rev limit, I may be mistaken but I'm thinking that it doesn't require any valve train mod. either.
