    sleeves ???

when big boring a 1200r to 87 mm what sleeves do u use

    You don't use use sleeves.
1200R & 1300R have a nicasil plating on the aluminum bore.
You need to bore, port & replate with the 1390cc 87mm also.

Get your self a set of GP1200R cylinder & head better than the 1300 for a BB1390 application

Pretty hard to find a set here in Australia for the right money but easy to find in the USA. Maybe guys like WFO Ferco Water Woody Osibill or even Lowell try searching EBAY USA

Who doing the 87mm set up for you only person and the best is Lowell Horning you can also go with his new man Water Woody.

Loved my BB when i had it the torque they give is awesome.

Here's a couple of places in Australia

Just buy 3 1200 damaged core cylinders cheap and send them to get bored & plated to match new pistons.
What are you doing with your 1200 cylinders, i have one core 1200 cylinder if you need one & you could probably find 2 more from shops here in oz for next to nothing.

Im pretty sure Nikadure are cheaper & charge about $300 a cylinder.
with the way the exchange rates are it would be cheaper to try & find a complete bigbore topend setup for sale. The shipping alone back & forth to the US would hurt your wallet pretty bad.

Do you know what is involved in doing a 1390 engine?
There's a lot more involved than just boring and replating the cylinders.
Expect it to cost about US$3000

Speak to these guys on bore size & plating thickness Nikadure 3888 0256 you will have to figure out what type of pistons you are going to run prox cast or wiseco forged to figure out your piston to cylinder wall clearance. these are the clearences i use for cast 0.0045'-0.005' & forged 0.005'-0.0055' i have seen 2 yz250 & cr250 cylinders these guys done & both were top quality work.
