Changing Oil in Rxp
Am I a mooran or what?
It took me 2 hours and 20 mins to change my oil. I did pull my valve cover to try and get all the oil out.
I put 4 qrts and 8 ounces in.
Please let me know how long it takes you guys to change your oil.
I feel like that is way to long to change your frigin oil.

I usually get 3.5-3.8 liters out at the most. Takes 30-45 minutes tops.
The engine only hold 4 liters (i think)......I've never got all of it out unless you remove the engine and drain it
-Run ski on hose for 3-4 minutes.
-turn off water and rev engine to apx. 4000-5000 RPMs for apx.5 seconds then shut engine off while at 4000-5000 RPMs.
-go ahead and put a zip tie on your throttle holding it wide open (drown engine mode)
-pull dipstick out and start sucking the oil out with the tube in the same length as the dipstick
-while its sucking (i use an electric sucker) pull out the spark plugs and remove the oil filter
-once the pump quits sucking put the sucker in the oil filter canister and turn the engine over for 5-10 seconds in drown engine mode......oil will be pumped up in the oil filter canister while your turning the engine over
-stick the sucker back in the dipstick
-repeat 3 times
-reinstall the plugs and oil filter, put 3.3-3.5 liters oil in.
-cut the zip tie off your throttle
-run on hose for apx. 1-2 minutes
-check oil level and adjust accordingly
-make sure ski is level
-removing the sparkplugs helps the engine turn over faster and saves the battery a little while sucking

It can be a messy job, but think of the $ you saved, while possibly exposing yourself to carcinogens and helping pollute crap.LOL
Now don't leave a carbon foot print, plant a tree everytime you change your oil now!

20 minutes tops start to finish...
5 minutes on the flush... if ur not flushing the ski before you change the oil your pissing in the wind.
stick the tube down the dipstick and pump it up
while that's sucking change the oil filter
wait around 5 minutes until it finishes sucking
put oil back in
i've used so many different extractors... expensive snap on one, drill pumps, battery operated ones, tempo oil boys... the best one i've used yet is the one hydroturf sells... sucks it out QUICKLY... compact size, holds 6 quarts, and it's only 55 bucks. i HIGHLY recommend it
