Change Mag Bolts on a NA 155
I have an '03 GTX NA 155 that I have owned since new. Would you guys pull the engine to change the mag bolts to the new stretch bolts on this ski, or not? I guess I am wondering how much of the mag bolt failure is due to HP, or just time.
I also heard that Seadoo changed the chain tensioner (a little less tension) in ~2005 to aid in prevention of chain failures. I guess that would be another one up for question, but it is obviously easier to complete.
I have completed all the other bulletproof items, just wondering on the value and benefit to completing these two upgrades.

What? No advice from all the brainpower here? I know this isn't as sexy was performance enhancement , but I would like to know if anyone has seen the mag failure on a NA 155.

I remember a guy with an NA ski from Baltimore shearing the bolts. It can be done with the engine in the ski, but you will need to loosen the rear mounts & raise the engine to get the PTO cover off. Then the pump & shaft have to come out too. For the peace of mind, I think it would be worth it. You'll probably pay more for the gasket than the bolts... Ron
