I believe the 2004 skis had the most aggressive stock cam. Don't quote me on that though.

if you had it apart anyway go ahead and change it, it is a better cam. no way would I take it apart just to swap the stock cams though.

so the swap from 08 to 05 cam wouldn't be worth that much to do?

would the 04 be worth it.. I mean I know the Rotax cam is better but for the money is it worth the gain on a stock 04 or 05 cam

I'm not sure if the 05 and 04 cams are the same but I do know that if you have an 07-08 ski and plan on running higher rpms you would be better off with an 04 cam as the 07+ are more likely to cause vave float.

I did it on a freinds RXPX to test it(05 cam).We put the 08 cam back in.It made no differance at all on a back to back test we thought we lost if anything. If you run big rpm's you might want too though for better valve control.

So it might be good to put an 05 cam on for protection to the motor... I'm only running 8550 Rpms
