    Question Idle speed

According to the manual the idle speed in water is 1500 and out of water it is 3000,why is that so?

If you run it at 1500 out of water is there anything that can happen?

If you run it at 1500 out of water, then drop it in, the engine will die from water load.

It won't hurt anything setting the idle for 1500 out though, if you have a reason for doing so.

Just woundred, when i flush it i have let it run for the same idle as in the water whitout problems. The idle is probably set a little high since i diddent notice any diffrense.

You have no tach...so you don't actually know what the idle speed is. It does drop 1500 rpms when in water. So if you aren't moving the screw, it is 1500 rpms higher when you flush.
