    ELKO Vs. Mahle Pistons?

Is one better than the other? When did they change brands? I seem to be coming across a mix of both kinds lately. They look identical to the Mahle's I was curious if anyone had any background info on if one was superior inferior to the other, or if they are identical, just with a different name? Any info help, thanks!

I think he's saying that he has some OEM Elko brand pistons. I'm thinking that Elko was the brand BRP used in 2 strokes, been a day or two since I looked at one though...

The ELKO is 100% identical to the Mahle piston. I tore down a 215, 2 pistons were Mahle's one was an ELKO which is why I asked.

I was curious about this so I did a little searching. it appears that the companies are associated in some way so there probably is not two different suppliers.

http://www.koenig-kg.at/ note that Elko is a product line of Mahle Koenig
