Can the Cylinders of a GP1200R be bored to 86MM for a big bore kit? or do they need to be sleeved?

1200 jugs can go all the way to 86.5mm (1390cc) and can also handle 87mm (1400cc). Both can be done without sleeves, and would probably be more reliable without the sleeves.

    1300 jugs can go to 86.5mm (1390cc)/ 87mm (1400) / 88mm (1460cc) / and 89mm (1500cc). Still no sleeves needed.

no one that i know of, but 89mm would be about as far as you could go on the 1300 jugs.

87 is as far as you can go on the 1200 jugs.

As I'm starting to think of a winter project to take on, I'm keeping an eye on the new ZX-14R... That bike's got a sweet engine and I wonder if it'll fit in a GRP hull???

I see that it has 112 ft.lbs @7500 rpm, but I can't find the HP... Just thinking out loud.

ther had been some discussion awhile back about putting a hybusa motor in. but, it goes back to how much the pump can put out.
