    Impeller Recommendations

I bought an '03 GPR with an IR level 2 already installed.

    I want
    1) Good holeshot
    2) Good rough-water ability
    3) Enough top end to beat stock skis in a grudge match

    I have tried
    1) Solas 14/20 depitched to 11/18 - good holeshot, but not enough top end
    2) Nujet 14/20 - I will test it today, but from what I understand, it will have a crappy holeshot with a great top end

I was wondering about a Skat-Trak swirl impeller. I know they have a great holeshot, but can they be pitched to keep the holeshot while still having a respectable top end?

I'm not trying for the "best of both worlds" here - I just want a good holeshot and about 70 MPH.

For the 1300 gurus to help you out, do you happen to know what RPM's & Speed you are currently running with your setup?
Also, how much compression are you running?
They may/will need a little bit if this info to help you out more.
EFI settings too if you have that installed on your boat.

    OK

RPMS - stock tach, unfortunately. ~7300?
    Compression - 148, 147, 150 psi
    EFI - 4,6,1,11

I also have the Jetworks kit installed.

just from what you have typed, you can probably try a 14/21 Concord (Assuming you still have the stock pump in there).

If those EFI settings are working well for you, then don't change. But it never hurts to try others.

Try a 6-6-1-9 and also a 6-6-2-9, and maybe even 6-6-1-10 and if those are worse than what your doing right now, then go back.

BUT---you will need to get a Pet Tach to see the changes in performance first. A tach is actually more important than a GPS at times because it tells you so much more about whats going on inside of your engine compartment.

"IF you take care of the RPMS, then the GPS #'s will take care of themselves" ---Remember that

You should talk with Dave at Impros about prop work!

I dont think his boat will spin a 21. Get a tach reading to know for sure.

WFO is right -- i should not have posted that without knowing true RPMS. If you find your spinning 7250 and up, then you can use a "21" to knock it back down into the power band.

    Good call Rich..

Eric, Will get back to you in the AM. I remember that ski well. That was Greg's ski that i built for him back in 03. That ski ran 75's back then.

    RPMS 7220-7240 @ 72.2 mpr
what do ya think? I am thinking 1.5-2 degrees more pitch on trailing edge?

An 05 pump on that GK1390 would really compliment it
