Why not save yourself some cash and just shim the ride plate?

Use your words like a big boy clone....

Guess it depends on what you are trying to do. My ski doesn't porpoise at ALL. Handles great, no complaints. Of course, the 12 vein and sponsons probably help a bit, but I'm not trying to set any speed records either.

Every ride plate on every ski I own is shimmed down.

done that .. if i can lenthen the hull i may be able to dump a few shim washers and not have to drive the nose in with just the plate.. the extensions will act as a lever pushing the nose down with more spred out force..
Give me a sharper water release point, lowering water tension on the hull..
Clean up the water flow out back, as the plate will force the hull up quicker not leaving the hull mating curve in the turbulant water so long ...(LEO'S Holeshot kit is a sweet thing on a GPR and sould work on a GP application, but my hull is still to nice to fill and then paint)

and....... its good step when i spill off...

    just some thoughts ..

You should just use the trim tabs like I got.. The best damn $85 I have spent on my GP760.
Yes, this was taken before I cleaned up the 5200 gunk.

The trim tabs in the picture were made by Bullet and marketed by them, they also private labeled them for Riva. Not too many sets around for the older GP hulls. You'll have to pick them up second hand.....no new available that I know of. They were originally used on C/C boats to aid in tight turning, pull the trim lever and the flaps drop pushing the nose into the water and aiding in turning.....I've got a set on my son's '99 GP and also my C/F GP.

    Mike

    Evolution Marine also made some......
