    Counterbalance shaft alignement 787

Bought an exchange crankshaft from SBT for my -97 SPX.

On the new crankshaft there is no mark for alignement with the counterbalance shaft.

Anyone have an ideas how to do the alignement when the mark is missing..?

Its there, look closely with a real good light. I have bought several from them, they are hard to see. The mark may be on the inside of the gear.

If it is not on there, SBT will ship out a new one with a mark on it.

There was no mark on the balanceshaft, here is the answere i got from SBT when i sendt them a mail:

You dont need the marks to align the two, The crank weights apose the balancer weights then as rotated they will come in to meet each other.

Anyone that know what they mean with APOSE??

Yes, the CB weights should be opposite the crank weights. There is a mark on there i'm telling ya. Look closer.

Just a curiosity question. Why does SeaDoo use a counterbalance design in their motors?
