    750SL & K&N air filter?

Anyone put these K&N air filters on their ski? the chart shows the ones below don't need adapters to fit a 93-95 750sl.

    http://www.knfilters.com/search/prod...x?Prod=59-2030

Or they show these below, for racing, which require an adapter.

I'm looking for ideas on opening up my air flow. Thanks

    they will both require adapters.

    persoanally, i am NOT a fan of K&N f/a's

i have ne ocean pro's here, thaat will bolt directly on to your carbs, 40.00 ea, with stainless mount hardware. these are a much better f/a that the K&N.

if you want a "clamp on type" i have tau cetis here for 45.00 ea, and carb top adapters for 15.00 ea. IMO these are much better quality than the K&N.

you can also modify a stock SLX 780 F/A to breath better. i have these here too, for 40.00 + s&h for the whole assy.

please note, if you do add an open element flame arrestor, you may need to make some carb adjustments

send me an email if i can help out. please remind me exactly what you need, and what machine you ahve. thank you.

good question, and you know, i should have stated my opinions better.

they had quality issues, first, in the early days, it was the cotton they used in between the screens, it would choke off the motor when it got wet. then later on, we had problems with the mesh actually breaking apart, and dropping metal pieces down the carb. ( THIS IS BAD!!)

so needless to say, i have a bad taste in my mouth, when it comes to K&N.

these are things i have experienced first hand here in my shop.

They do have their issues, but they do look good. hehe

If you do decide to get the K&Ns, let me know. I have a set of adapters for the 38's that I will let you have at a huge discount.

Thanks, but I've already ordered the Ocean Pro's from John Zigler. I appreciate the info. I do have the earlier intake that had the oil injection lines, rather than the ones that feed through the air box. I won't need the adapters, but someone on here will. Good luck

i do have some here for the 38mm mikuni carbs. 40.00 ea ( 120.00 for a set of three) complete with mounting hardware. please note, these DO NOT have the oil injection nipple. so, if your 750 is injected from the flame arrestor base, you will need to either remove the system, or come up with an alternative.

i also have tau ceti flame arrestors, that clamp on, and will go on the same adapters that your K&N's sit on. ( incase your injection goes to your adapters). these are 45.00 ea. ( new)

send me an email if i can help out. please remind me exactly what you want, and for what machine.

    thank you.

Polaris recommends of the OP's to rejet the 750 skis to a 102.5 main Jet. Here's the Factory Polaris Extreme Service Intake Kit and Instuctions.
