The 1300's did not have that cut out in the lower cylinder skirt either. I would not worry about it, all the 1300 big bores ran great.

any jetting suggests, standard carbs ,no choke plates or acc pump, with flame arresters??,i have ordered a jetting kit from carl, but he has never set up a 800r big bore before,so he is going to have a educated guess, and i will go from there

Mine would be the same, an educated guess. I would say 2.0 N&S, gold 115gr spring, 115p 1turn out 135m 1.5 turns out, no chokes, no accel, Prok F/A's

I ran this on my ported 1300 with excellent result's, so I would assume that it would be similar on yours.
