Exclamation RXTX RUDE2 WITH MODS, RUN 42s OR 50s?

Putting in a rude 2 charger in my rxtx...

With my current mods and stock ecu. What is the consesus??

Run 42 or 50 pound injectors? What base pressure?

Remember the fuel pump voltage is different on the 08 rxtx....

50's, you want know base pressure until you test with LM-1.

Why run 42's and have everything maxed out????

JP1300R ran rude1 on P-X with stock injectors and was lean.

    42's!

You have an X boat.... your stock 42 lb injectors are already flowing 50 lb hr due to the over driven fuel pump.

to elaborate a bit further... the stock X injectors are rated at 42 lb hr at 3 bar fuel pressure.

The X model regulator is set at 4 bar which enables the injectors to flow at 50 lb hr.

Sure, you can install 50 lb injectors and drop the base pressure. How much? I don't know but i would start with around 48 psi and check AFR and adjust it from there.

You could even run 60's and drop the base pressure even more. The bigger injector you run the more risk you take at suffering from poor idle quality and an overly rich bottom end/midrange.

I wouldn't set it over 60. Doing so will increase your chances of maxing out your fuel pump.

If ever you find that you need to set it over 60 psi then it's time to go larger injectors and then drop the base pressure.

    Jerry,

This may sound silly, but what would happen if you just dropped in a 2rude with nothing else for a T-X assuming my simple mods in my sig?

Steve, Dont you have a lm-1 and 50s? If so then try the 42s first and WHEN you max out your pump with them throw in the 50s. You will get different opinions and educated guesses from alot of people but until you test for yourself it is just guessing.

I am running a 2Rude with stock X ecu, 4" DIY front air intake, 50lbs injectors, RRFPR set at about 55psi and check AFR. This is on a RXPX.

Never ran a 1Rude or 2Rude with 42lbs injectors. Just don't think it is wise, maybe possible, but I wouldn't do it.

You would be very lean, on the limiter, and melting down a engine. With the mods you have in your sig.
