Milling stock head for 89 octane.
Hey all. I ride on the rivers of Pittsburgh and the best gas that I have access to is 89 octane. Anyone ever milled the stock head to say... 140 psi instead of the standard 150 psi? I would like to get some more performance, but I just cannot get a steady supply of 93+ octane and my dock owner does not let us bring out own fuel.
Thanks for any help. It is very appreciated.

on a 1300 simply remove 1 layer of the head gasket
on a 1200 remove 1 or 2 layers of the head gaskt - with a 1200 do not use the uncoated middle layer by itself

I'd have a serious problem with your dock man!!!! Thats freakin rediculous
Here's a question.... How many tanks do you burn once you have entered this dock owners facility? If only one tank just prefil a gallon or two of 110 octane in ya tank then fill the rest with his 89 octane. Now this may sound more than wut ya want to do BUT more hp takes effort. Have the head cut by sum one who knows what they doin leave the 2 gaskets mix fuel..... BUDDA BING!!!!!

Tell me about it... but it is a good arrangement in some other ways. They have a lift that can put the skis right into the water. Never have to tow them back and forth, just leave them at the dock, etc.
The gas thing is an issue though... especially at the price you have to pay on the water...
