Polish this cranK? Or Just run with it?
Here is my Crank out of the Savage Dirt bag motor. I have a new Block with Stock pistons and Rings and all new bearings and chain..
I am ready to drop the crank in, but would like input. I feel this is OK.
What do you guys think? It feels smooth and all oil holes I have spotless.
. I am 30mins from having this motor back togethere.
But we wait on the crank gods.. Too input..

then again the more i look at the pics i think the crank is trashed
Looks like this engine had a nice mixture of salt water and oil running thru the oil galleys

Comparing it to my Pontiac crank before I had it cut, I would say no frikkin way you run it like that. I got mine cut and polished and it came out looking like chrome, Austin. Mine was not even close to that bad, and the machinist said it looked like crap. just my 2 cents..

might be a good time to have your machinist look at the BMW bearing part number that I came up with in your other thread to see if it will work and is available in undersize.

Well I have all new bearings and stuff already to drop a crank in my motor. So I am just gonna get a crank from someone that is good. Not gonna mess with getting all this machineing done. I would be running all over and waiting aswell.
I thought they ran in a bath of oil and this wasn't a big deal. Oh well. Again this guy bites me in the ass.
anyone got a crank?
What about htis guys crank?
