    SHOdude's GPR-SHO Conversion

Rip'n Tear SHO and I have teamed up together to build a GPR-SHO conversion.

After selling my SUV, I bought a blue SHO to get into the "hardcore jet skiing". I had it for 5 months, and my wife and I were in a car accident.

Her car and our SHO was "totalled". Thankfully, we were not injured in the accident. But I am taking this opportunity to turn a negative into a positive. We needed a new car, just not now, but we worked that out.

The ski,...it just so happened that Green Hulk was selling Carey's (yeah right) SHO and I jumped all over it. The SHO was not fast enough for her. I don't know that the "green hulk" is fast enough for her

Anyway, I approached a couple of friends, because I wanted a two seater as well as my FXSHO. I have a lot of fun on that ski, but really wanted a two seater to play with also. Knowing that Rip loves to tear it up offSHOre, but likes the playfulness of a two seater in the flat water, I asked him if he would be willing to join me in this adventure.

That being said, I am going to provide the engine and electronics, and a few other things to build a GPR-SHO with Rip -- who acquired the hull from Leo. I can't thank Leo enough for his generousity for helping us make this dream come true. I hope you can make it for it's first ride.

We are going to have a lot of fun.

BTW...don't expect a lot of action in the next week or so. Our schedules are packed.

Can't wait for the real hardcore building. Our goal is to have this boat ready for Mudbug, but we are not making any promises. We intend on taking a lot of pictures to SHO you the progress.

yeah....well said Eric.......big thx to Jerry (greenhulk), Jim's Performance, and Trager for allowing seat time on their beautiful GPR's..........turning a hobby into an obsession?!!?!?!?

We plan on keeping the ski a rider friendly ski with a 'tight' hull set-up......we want this ski to be able to ride all day long, carve the twisties, and be able to run low-to-mid 80's anytime (not a cool air....seat off...low humidity, glass water run ski). We also want to accomplish this utilizing the stock ECU ($3000-3500 aftermarket ECU not in our budget...for now) so waiting for the companies to bypass the boost limiter on stock ECU so we can run a Riva (14lbs.) or possibly a lower boost C-3-11 wheel (10 lbs.).

Mind you...the ski will still retain 'cruise control" and 'no-wake' mode....but for reasons of power-to-weight ratio and performance...we've decided to forego and not install the cupholder

I can't comment enuf on how impressed I am with Jerry's monster.....he has a ski that will run triple digits and he ran that ski all day long with all of our recreational ski's for the entire weekend with no issues...dead reliable.....amazing.......really incredible......

I've been in this hobby for a year and have not regretted the purchase of my SHO or joining Greenhulk since...met some really great people and had some really great times........and the best part is........so many more to come!!
