Ok Sybil...where's the other Adam to explain to us what he's talking about?

Just be careful Adam...at that speed you could get hurt real bad. Don't loosen it up too much.

My friend Elio from Melbourne Australia hit this speed on his WB800 and then got pitched off! See other post, from Aussiegp1200.

    WB 800

Its could to know people are interested in this thanks to my good friend Adam. Yesterday I took my blaster 3 out for rejetting and finally got 68.8mph when at top speed the ski dipped left so I decided to jump off rather than hang on and hurt myself, I went water skiing for 20 meters then tumbled and tossed around and etc. I'll post a picture of my ride plate which the idea came from another friend Gary (HX fanatic). The plate works great in short course but definately not in flat water top end speed such as 68.8mph. I was very excited in prospect of what this animal can eventually do because I had half a tank of fuel and neutral trim and slightly rich...............
What I did was put two long plates on the existing ride plate level with the intake grate with a gap in the middle ( keep in mind this ski the ride plate steps upwards). As I said this works great in short course racing but not in flat water

Maybe if you machine some angle upward at the rear of two bars, it will let the nose ride higher and stop the nose down pitch at topspeed!
It must carve in the corners.

69mph is flying on that hull..I've only done 62mph with a Raider 1100 engine in WB2..and that was scary.

Pay close attention to that rideplate...get it up above that intake for more speed, but be careful. Maybe let those sponsons down if possible, to help with tracking.

    Hit 70 and call it a day..seriously.

    Wink

You could also try longer bars that extend out the back more 50mm?
This will give some more stability at speed!
