whats the word on the 947 DI?

    Guys,

Just looking for a little info here. My friend is looking at buying a 01 RX DI. I don't know a lot out this boat. Can someone who has a little experiance with this motor and/or boat give me a little insite so I can help to advise to buy or stay away from this boat.

Not sure on the hours yet, says "low hours" well find that out later..

Looks like a nice boat, the guy is looking for $3500 i think.

The only thing i have seen with the DI is the parts look a little more expensive to buy if you need to repair.

    TIA

    Dean

sound's a little pricy to me the 951's are reliable if they are not modified, once you start modifying then it could become a nightmare...and yes the DI parts are alot more expensive!

I'd like to say that's a high price, but since I'm selling my '02 RX-DI, I don't want to jinx anything.

The '01 uses premium fuel instead of regular like the later models. Otherwise they're good fuel-efficient skis. The '02 & up also get better mileage. Fuel system components are expensive, so that's someting to be aware of.

Thats actually a good price. Where I live they go for $4k and up. I hope your getting a trailer with it as well. The skis are great. They are plug and play. Great for two people to ride together, yet sporty for one person. Great for pulling tubes. Don't have to worry about carbs. Just make sure you keep the fuel tank full when stored (fuel pump issue), run some injection cleaner through it from time to time and enjoy the extra gas mileage you get out of it over the carbs. No real bad comments on it, just remember to maintain it.
