question on best choice for heads on ported 1390s

I currently am using my Riva heads that Lowell had cut for me last season for an increase in compression...I know he had said something about the stock yamaha head last season when he ported my 1300s. I plan to box everything up and ship it out next week and I want to be sure I have everything he needs to work his magic. If its the Yamaha heads I'm gonna have to do some digging that I don't feel like doing if its unnecessary

cant wait for it to warm up...I look at my skis and wish I lived in Florida now instead of Mass.

    -Mike

Your OEM head is the most popular and cheapest way to go.I run the Riva/R&D heads on my personal ski's.

Sell your topend get a set of bad 1200 cylinders and head get those done bb. The porting is already better and ya can use pv's. I would have to say most would agree the bb from 1200 cylinders will make more all around power than ported bb 1300 cylinders....

That's what I did. I can't comment on a difference in power from boring & porting the 1300 top end, but the gas valves sure do make a difference.

I think I remember Lowell telling me that the 1 piece stock head is a bit more bulletproof than the 3 piece Rivas.

I would NOT use my already ported cylinders. They are worth good money. used bad cylinders are cheap and ya save money. When mellinium gets done with em they look brand new.

the 66e's make good cylinders for a triple pipe 1200

66e's don't lend themselves to BB single pipe skis
