Rinaldi Reeds and Water head exit temp question
I bought a set of Rinaldi reeds. They do not have stuffers on the sides.
Do you port the manifold that wide ? Since our manifolds are so short I would think that porting it to the full width would hurt velocity. The up down dimension is the same as Delta 3's.
Rius makes intakes...what's his width ?
What water temperature is optimum for a GPR Superstock exiting the head ? I have a hot tach with a probe in the hose at the head exit.

personally, I would not port the intake that large. If it ain't broke....
Very good question about the water temp. I'm waiting to hear the answers. Heat sink on the gpr has always been an issue, so I know there is a mesa, in which the gpr engine needs to run. Too cold, not good, too warm, not good.

i would like to know the answer to that as well (water temp-from a stock head)

My 66 Cuda fastback runs best at 180 degrees, most watercooled Go-carts run at 120-140 degrees, Most watercooled street bikes run somewhere near 140 degrees (I think).. So I am think that I would start at approx 140 degrees.
What sort of water temps are the 15F & Four stroke RXP's running at?

I bought the reeds and the spacers for my GPR from RANDY @
His website doesn't list parts like this but he has everything and has built some 80 mph + GPR's
So - anyone on temps ?

Did the reeds come with there own cages? Any chance you can send me a pcture? (I am understanding this correct and this is different from the Rius set-up?)
water temp is in the 110 to 120 F range

I'll take a picture later when I'm in the shop. No the reeds look just like what is on Rius site. However the inlet is very wide they are not "stuffed" like a Delta reed. You know the delta reed has an opening that is not as wide and the reed tip exit. The Rinaldi's are the same like a stock cage without stuffers. I was wondering how far (width) people are porting the manifold. I'm using them with a dominator manifold since I have one.
The rius manifold is not that thick for a nice long transition either so I'm curious how wide people port the exit of the manifold because with 48mm carbs it would be a big angle to get to the right width. So that is why I'm asking if Rius manifolds use a stuffer.
The kit from randy comes with spacer like plates that the reed cages press into. Very simple and sweet...Randy also sell's replacement pedals.
