RXP-X free flow on a budget

For those looking for a cheaper alternative to the RIVA pipe that must be made of gold, here is a nice option for $16 bones. I searched forever to find a 2.75" inch pipe with these dimensions, most are 2.5".

I installed it today, took an inch or two off both ends. I gotta say, it sounds much better than a thought, I love it.

Riva means gold in latin. Just like San Diego means whale vagina. Wish you would of posted this a week ago before I dropped $90 on a bent piece of plastic pipe. Where do you get that pipe anyway?

After you cut the ends off, did you have the ends rolled again? If so, what did the muffler shop charge you?... Ron

I'm thinking the same thing. Should be able to find someone to do it for $5.

there is no real need to roll the ends. my ppg pipe wasn't rolled and if you think about it there is none on the waterbox and it holds

    Pipe

I'm a modding doofus so please bear with me. Never modded a ski before except for an R&D grate I'm putting in but I'm interested in this pipe mod because it's CHEAP! What does it do for the machine and where does it go? Do I have to do any injector modding or ECU mapping or anything else? It's for an RXP-X right?

    Thanks for the ignorant Q's.

Sorry guys no pictures. My camera battery died after I took pictures of my homemade catch can. But here is a picture of the resonator that needs to be removed. You can see essentially what you will be replacing and the measurements of that piece. I cut my pipe at about 12 1/2" long and 5 1/2" tall just to be safe and it worked well.

As for rolling the pipe, I did not have that done. I've installed straight pipes on other 4-tecs and never had any problems with hoses popping off. I do use 2 clamps on each end though. (I was going to use t-bolt clamps I had left over but they were a hair too small).
