    Seat Covers & Designs

Today I brought my new seat cover to my upholster to put it on for me. He was very impressed with the material and would like to start making a few designs. He is well known locally and nationally for his upholstery work. He has a 2 year waiting list to do custom 50k hot rod interiors.( I will attach his website, check it out and see what he does). My question is, do you guys think there is a demand for seat covers. Could we produce some designs and see what yall think? Not to knock M-line or any other seat makers, but he has designing skills next to none and would still be able to keep the seat around an affordable $250. Let me know if anyone would be interested.

PS. When you go to his site below, go to gallery and then Dustin Clouatres LSU Party Bus. That is mine that he did for me.

I have to tell you... there is a lot more to it, than just a great designer, and quality work. From looking at those pics, I'm sure he could do some cool stuff!!!

There is some experience and work behind great covers such as M-line, and Jettrim. Remember, these devices are almost like "traction devices" for your arse. We use them totally different than other forms of motorsports, and they get abused like no other. Even the demanding world of atv and motocross have some suspension to help with the abuse.

Add water and UV damage to the equation, and it's a pretty weird world for those guys to work in when they design covers. Add in stuff like the quirky seat designs such as two piece seating, seat handles, wetsuits, bare skin, or high-stress areas like the bottom of the gpr seats and the can of worms goes sky high.

I agree that a PWC seat is MUCH more than a seat. It is the only thing holding you on at high speeds. We went through some books and found the same exact "traction" fabric that can be found on the other competitor's seats. I think we're going to make a prototype and see what the world thinks. ha

Clouless, If he needs a ski to try it on , I'll volunteer my T-X seats. But it's gotta match the paint job and be totally killer.

That guy has skillz! I think you have a market for one off covers. Jet trim and Hydro turf are limited in their designs.

I think we're going to get some designs together and see what we can do.

Help me out. What Sea Doo model seats are the same. Example 2008 RXT-X and RXT.
