    GURU HELP needed PUMP, IMPELLER

I have a few questions about my impeller and pump. I am running the 05 pump with a 14/24 DF professionally pitched. BUT i did the pump upgrade. I feel there is something MAJOR wrong with it. BUT BOTH THE 05 PUMP UP GRADE AND PUMP WAS DONE AT THE SAME TIME! so I am not saying it is the pitch. I do not KNOW.
And I only have one shaft and could not go back to the concord.
I am just posting for all the ideas I can get.

I am running (last year) 76.9-77.6 mph with a 14/24? and I am turning 7380-7400 rpms? I could even get more rpms because I am running fat. I do not need to over rev.
Now does that seem right? Most of the gurus say I should be over 80 with a 14/24 at 7200 rpms?

What I see Is: the impeller is setting 10-11mm from the stator (blade to stator measurement) that seem large.

Last year I gained 1.5 MPH by removing the washer, (I still run with out it.)

THIS TELLS ME THAT SOMETHING IS NOT BITTING THE WATER. The hole shot is better and the topend, And it felt better. I can send you pics or any thing you would need to help me figure this out.
    ANY thoughts?

    Here are some PICS.

download the pitch gauge and measure the prop again.

If you are dragging something (handling adjustments), you rpms will be there, but not the speed

That looks like an Island prop. Carls pitch is sometimes "light". It may be closer to a 23. Yes, check the pitch yourself, and pay close attention to the clearence in the wear ring.

the prop can seize to the shaft if you remove it

IMO have the prop "set back" by a professional

Did you do the 2" extension along with the '05 pump?

no I have no want for the 2". I believe that is a rough water part, and will slow me down. I may be wrong, but that is what I think, and I am going slow enough

The 2" extension works for me. It seemed to allow me to get more angle on the plate.

There's so many little things you need to do to get to 80. When I first put my 1300 together along with the upgraded pump, I was only at 75. The rest came with recessing the pump shoe, blending every part on the hull, and experimenting with tab shimming, plate angles, and prop pitches. It will come.
