    05 1300 results

So took the ski out today here is what is has:

VF3's , D-plate, riva race filter, riva free flow, EFI, PET, PPK, solas 14/20 (out of the box) Riva heads, r&d 800 grate.... I think thats it.

    temp - 64 deg.
    water temp ??
    at sea level
    water was slight chop

top GPS # was 68.8???? I do still have the stock plate on and my rpm's where aroud 7200. EFI set at 6-6-2-9

I put on all the parts at once (like a dumb ass) so im not sure where to start! I was hoping to be in the 70's before I bolt on jims plate.

My friend 04 with all tyhe same parts (except he has stock heads) ran 70.2 wich sounds a little more like the speeds I expected.

    thanks for the help.

Your missing the key part- a good ride plate. If your spinning a 14/20 dynafly at 7200rpm? You can easily get 72+ with a ride plate from Jim.
The free flow hurts top end about 20-30 rpms.

Are your sponsons stepped? You shouldn't need to step them with the stock plate...if they are then this is slowing you down some.

hello r33pwrd, The rpm's are good the speed is not. The factory ride plate is what holding you back. Change that and you will be all set.

Jim I got it allready!!! Just have not put it on! I was hoping that this thing would do over 70 with the stock plate! The worst part of the day was when I raced a STOCK rxt and we ran dead even until top end when I bairly pulled on him.

Not sure why my friends 04 with the same mods less the heads is faster? both acceleration and top speed? he also has a stock plate (and will be calling you on monday jim).

I would think you could run over 70 mph with your setup, I know my stock 1200 motor ran over 70 mph with the stock grate and stock oem ride plate using the 14/20 Dynafly. But that was in 55 degree weather. Or should I say RXP weather.

had the same set up (no heads and a 1200 grate,) and ran a 71 (average many times.) With my set up I was turning a box DF @ 7310 RMPs. Your RPMs seem low with that set up!!!

My EFI was set at, 6,5,3,9 at sea level. Have you tried bumping up the red dial a bit? What happend? Are you using the splash cover on the air intake? If so take it off!!!

Have you drilled any holes in your front bucket/hood? You need to give her air!

Also what octane gas are you using?

no holes yet but there will be in about an hour! And yes im running the intake cover (I guess I pull it off too). When I turn up the red dial I dont see much change I was as high as 4 and as low as one and no diffrience in the rpms but the speed did drop a little as it whent up. And I am running 92 octane.

I am in the same process right now, no gps #'s yet. Keep this thread going, I would like to hear how the plate helps.
