    MFD K447

I replaced the fuse for the display a couple days ago...I have read several posts about the display. One of K447's posts stated; that at rest the MFD will display time, fuel and oil levels and no more. I have a 96 sl780, it is also displaying the trim reading...is it not shutting down or is this normal?

    Thanks

While sleeping, mine shows clock, fuel, oil, and trim position. If your mfd is in sleep mode and you press the mode button, the red led should start flashing as it wakes up. If not sleeping, pressing the mode button will just scroll through the different functions.
Test yours by letting it stay inactive for 5 minutes or so, then press the mode button. Does the led flash?

    Yes, it flashes.
The hours read 99.7, but I have no idea how long it has not worked, the only memory would be in the MFD itself, right? As long as this is normal sleep mode for the MFD, I've done all I can do to this machine, until I can but it in the water...it was 10 degrees yesterday here, so it will be a while.... thanks for the info.
