    i need a picture of electrical box pvl system

    can sum body snap a picture of a pvl electrical system box 3 cly preferred but I don't think it will matter

    mine is a updated system I need to make sure i have the wireing right to rule out a electrical problem for a backfire issue

    the diagrams are hard to compare

    The coils on the PVL have to be hooked up in the right order,as they don't fire at the same time like the Fuji's,My picture wouldn't do you any good as my wiring on the MSX are custom made and not all the right color.

    well my ski runs It just when revs above idle it back fires but it also hard starts ,

    I guess ill try it again with a full battery charged ,

    it seems to hard start and get excessive fuel in the clys and exhuast then it finally fires boom

    Are only 2 cyls wet,if so,those 2 cyls coils are mixed up. I think that the firing order is different once the upgrade is done. Just don't know enough of the changes in the domestic 3 cyls. yet.Maybe shoot Randy or Jay a PM.

    any body see any problems




    my ski will fire , an will run for about 3-4 secs before it will back fire , then continue to run untill i pull the lanyard ,

    it hard start due to it being 25-40* when i try to start it , at times the battery will drop to 11.4-12.1 while cranking ,

    the battery is good i drop it on the charger every time i leave the shop ,

    its take maybe 2-3 snaps off the starter and maybe every little quater shot of accel pumps buys me like 1-2 secs of idle , then it will rev above idle by itself then pop , idle 1-2 secs then dies

    i knew this rebuild wouldnt be easy but hell i didnt expect it to give me trouble at the very end ,

    the crank

    weren't there 2 crank timing setups??early cranks the 900's and 1050's were one way and then the later 1050's and 1200 were different.if i'm right the mag would always be correct so the cen and pto would be reversed.if your running a late model cdi on an early crank you'd have 2 cylinders 120* out

    Where did you get your CDI? That's not the stock part number so I assume it's a replacement CDI? The part number on your current CDI doesn't show up under any watercraft parts listing at the Polaris website.

    I'm not good with colors,but it looks like a Pink wire attached to the groud terminal.Should all be black wires.

    Looking from the top of the elect box,your plug wires should be #1 (mag) #3 (pto)#2 (cen) left to right.That is the firing order for the 4060153 coil.

    You could measure the coil to to make sure of wires,#2 plug wire to Blk/Blu coil wire,#3 to Blk/Grn, #1 to Yel/Brn.

    way to go casey,pink on the black.you could verify your cranck as well,plugs out rotate by hand in running rotation which piston comes to tdc first after the mag??and its the coils that were different for the 2 cranks now that you mention it

    its an update cdi and stator ,

    cdi must be a different curve ,

    crap i see what your saying h2o its the cdi thats been in the ski since i bought it ,
