    stinger removal xl1200

    planning on taking my carbs of this weekend for rebuild, last time i took my stinger out i had a very hard time getting it out of the hul. is there a special trick to get the stinger out?

    so it is an XL1200LTD ?

    no trick, just practice, it's like the hokey pokey of jet skis.

    yes it is a 1999 xl1200 ltd

    unbolt electrical box place it on top fo cylinder head, opens up a very large gap to get it out discovered this last week turns a 3hr job into 20mins work
