    SLT750, fix, sell, or parts?

    A while ago, I bought an 94 SLT750 that I knew had a few problems. It turns out that it needs a thru hull fitting and the PTO cylinder piston shattered out around the wrist pin holes. The cylinder wall doesn't look bad at all. At first I wasn't too upset about it until I looked further and saw water sitting in the crankcase. It looks like most of the bearings on the crankshaft have been sitting in water for quite a while. I'm seeking advice on how I should proceed. I don't want to spend more money on this than it's worth. I'd rather sell this or part it out and go buy a reasonably priced running ski if I am going to dig myself into a hole with this one. I am very mechanically inclined, having rebuilt many classic cars, but have limited 2 stroke experience. So, what do you all think? Thanks!

    Well, if the crank is sitting in water, it's prob rusted. A crank alone will run you about $400.

    Then a cylinder hone and at least 1 piston kit plus gaskets will run around $165.

    So, at the bare minimum, you're looking at $550.
